Metals and Minerals Inspection
Inspection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, pig iron, scrap metal, ferroalloys, coal, coal concentrates, thermal (steam) coal, anthracite, coke and other types of mineral feedstock is a promising and dynamically developing area of activity for Bureau Veritas's Metals and Minerals Inspection Department.
Using an extensive network of offices and laboratories, a clear corporate hierarchy, qualified personnel, and modern means of communication and information exchange, we provide our clients with a wide range of services while maintaining an individual approach to every inspection.
Quality certification of cargo lots is carried out both according to Russian GOST parameters and for compliance with international standards. In addition, certification can be performed directly against the client's specification. Particular attention is paid to sampling and sample preparation when certifying cargo lots. Quantity certification of cargo lots is ensured through 100% piece-count verification, provided there is full access to the inspected goods.
Weight certification of cargo lots is performed using various methods and equipment (theoretical weight calculation, draft survey, reweighing on scales).
Our capabilities allow us to carry out inspections from the product's manufacturing process at the producer's facility all the way through to the cargo's receipt by the final consignee.
