Third-Party Safety Audit

Third-Party Safety Audit

SCOPE OF APPLICATION:

Food and light-industry facilities operating production lines and robotic systems.

Bureau Veritas performs comprehensive assessments of the technical condition, operational efficiency and compliance of conveyor systems with applicable standards. The assessment covers raw-material feeding, conveying, sorting, filling and packaging systems, helping protect personnel and maintain safe, reliable and stable production processes.

Third-party safety audits are conducted in accordance with GOST ISO 13849-1-2014, "Safety of Machinery — Safety-Related Parts of Control Systems — Part 1: General Principles for Design," and the requirements of Technical Regulation of the Customs Union TR TS 010/2011 "On the Safety of Machinery and Equipment". The service applies to production lines and robotic systems used in the food and light-industry application.

YOUR BENEFITS:

  1. Reduced operational risks and incident likelihood through the identification of critical deficiencies in production-line design and safety-related control systems, including risks associated with large, heavy, or fast-moving products.
  2. Reduced risk of production shutdown and penalties, imposed by regulatory authorities due to non-compliance with technical regulations, occupational safety rules and and industrial safety requirements.
  3. Lower operating and maintenance costs through the early rectification of design observations and deficiencies before the equipment enters full-scale operation.
  4. Documented evidence of safety compliance, facilitating engagement with state regulatory authorities and supporting the approval of products for manufacture and placing on the market.

SAFETY AUDIT STAGES:

Design Review:

Before the site visit, our specialists review:

  • Photographs of production-line sections,
  • Engineering drawings,
  • Electrical diagrams,
  • Operating and maintenance manuals.

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

We perform Factory Acceptance Tests at the equipment manufacturer’s premises, including manufacturing sites outside Russia, such as facilities in Asia and Europe. Bureau Veritas specialists attend the acceptance testing in person and facilitate communication with the manufacturer’s English-speaking technical representatives.

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Inspection of the production line and recommendations for closing outstanding test items,
  • Equipment safety assessment against applicable requirements,
  • Verification that the safety-related control systems meets the requirements of GOST ISO 13849-1-2014.

3. Site Acceptance Test (SAT)

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Updating the inspection report to reflect the closure of identified non-conformities,
  • Safety inspection checklist for the production line.

At each audit stage, we issue a compliance assessment report and provide recommendations for achieving conformity, including priority improvement actionsfor machine design and control systems.
