Container and Tank Container Survey

Bureau Veritas is one of the world's largest providers of container and tank container survey services.

Bureau Veritas issues the necessary certificates that allow tank containers and containers to be used in international multimodal transport across various modes of transportation.

We also offer container and tank container surveys in accordance with international standards, rules and conventions.

Bureau Veritas's core container survey services:

• periodic (5-year) and intermediate (2.5-year) container surveys;
• container surveys following repair, including technical supervision of the repair process;
• container surveys prior to on-hire and off-hire leasing.

Our inspectors are guided by global standards and regulations, taking into account the specific nature of each client's business and applying an individual approach to each one:

• The International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC);
• The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code;
• Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR 2025);
• The International Organization for Standardization (ISO);
• The relevant resolutions of the International Maritime Organization (IMO);
• The European standard EN 12972, and others.

The Hermes mobile application, developed by Bureau Veritas, allows the inspector to promptly enter survey results into the database in real time, significantly speeding up the certificate issuance process.
