ISO 9001:2026: launch of seminars on transition to the new version of the standard
24 September 2026
On September 16, 2026, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) officially published the long-awaited update of the ISO 9001:2026 standard. This is the first major update of the standard in the past 11 years.
The new version reflects global changes in the world economy, including the rapid development of artificial intelligence, the digitalization of processes, stronger sustainability (ESG) requirements, and the need to ensure supply chain flexibility.
GACI has set a comfortable transition period, but work on adapting the QMS can begin right now, without postponing the transition to the last moment. Advance preparation for implementing the requirements of the new version of the standard will allow your company to refine internal processes without haste or stress, strengthen the trust of customers and major clients, and reduce risks.
Bureau Veritas invites you to take part in seminars on the transition to the new version of ISO 9001:2026.
Key employees responsible for quality, and internal auditors, must be trained on the new version of the standard.
It is important that the team deeply understands not only the formal requirements but also the philosophy behind the updates.
The seminar will cover the key innovations and emphases of ISO 9001:2026:
The updated standard retains the High-Level Structure but introduces a number of fundamentally important requirements:
- Climate agenda. Integration of environmental risks and sustainability issues into the organization's context and quality objectives.
- Digitalization: Direct guidance has appeared on managing digital data, automated processes, and the risks of using artificial intelligence algorithms.
- Strengthened requirements for business continuity management and supply chain risk resilience in crisis conditions.
- Greater emphasis on the role of leadership, psychological safety, and staff motivation.
